DescriptionThird edition (the first from 2011). Spanish edition of the original french Les contes macabres. It includes eight tales in the translation of Julio Cortázar, the biography “Edgar Poe, his life and works” by Charles Baudelaire, “Notes and reviews” and “Biographies and bibliographies.”; In addition, a color frontispiece with “Berenice” (as a color vignette on the cover and as a black and white vignette on the title page), the portraits of Poe, Charles Baudelaire and Julio Cortázar –all by Lacombe–, the self-portrait of the illustrator, sketches of the same drawings of the stories in the paratexts and ornate titles and capitulars. Dutch cardboard binding (covered with black satin paper and cloth spine) and decorated endpapers. This anthology is completed with volume II published in 2018 in Spain.
