DescriptionIt includes ten stories and ninety illustrations (ten of them illustrated capitularies for each of the stories) by Martin Van Maële engraved on wood by Eugène Dété. In addition, an allegorical portrait of Poe, a two-color title page illustrated with the double vignette for The «Tell-Tale Heart», a second title page illustrated with a different vignette, and a header and colophon for the «Table des matiéres».
Copy No. 33 of a print run of 500 copies on Paul Hérisseys presses in Évreux; belongs to the group of 30 copies (from 21 to 50) printed on China paper, also including a stamped set of all the illustrations without text.
